PLUGIN LICENSE AGREEMENT

This Plugin License Agreement governs the use of plugin products distributed by WP Code Ally. By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using any plugin provided by WP Code Ally, the customer agrees to the terms outlined in this agreement.
This agreement applies to all plugins, updates, documentation, services, and related materials distributed through the WP Code Ally website or associated distribution platforms.
Nothing in this agreement restricts the rights granted under the GNU General Public License.
Definitions
- Plugin — A software product developed and distributed by WP Code Ally that extends or modifies the functionality of WordPress or related systems.
- License — The purchase of access rights to updates, support services, and license key activation associated with a plugin product.
- Customer — Any individual or entity that purchases, downloads, installs, or uses a plugin distributed by WP Code Ally.
- License Key — A unique identifier provided to the customer that enables automatic updates, licensing validation, and access to support services.
- Services — Support, updates, documentation, downloads, licensing infrastructure, and related services provided by WP Code Ally.
- Website — A WordPress installation operating on a domain, subdomain, or environment where the plugin is installed.
GNU General Public License
All plugin code distributed by WP Code Ally is licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2 or later.
Under the GPL license users are granted the following rights:
- Use the software for any purpose
- Study how the software works and modify it
- Redistribute the original software
- Distribute modified versions of the software
Customers are free to redistribute plugin code in accordance with the GPL license.
The GPL license applies only to the software code itself and does not apply to services, support, updates, documentation, licensing systems, branding, or distribution infrastructure provided by WP Code Ally.
Commercial License Services
While the plugin software is licensed under GPL, the purchase of a plugin license provides access to additional commercial services.
These services may include:
- Automatic plugin updates
- Technical support
- Access to plugin downloads
- Plugin documentation
- License key activation
- Compatibility updates
- Bug fixes and security updates
- Access to future plugin versions
Access to these services is available only to customers with an active license.
License Scope
A plugin license grants the customer the right to use the plugin on the number of websites permitted by the purchased license type.
License types may include:
- Single site license
- Multiple site license
- Agency or developer license
A website includes production, staging, or development environments associated with the same domain.
License keys may not be shared, transferred, sublicensed, or resold without written permission from WP Code Ally.
WP Code Ally reserves the right to deactivate license keys used in violation of this agreement.
Redistribution Notice
Because the plugin software is licensed under GPL, customers may redistribute the plugin code under GPL terms.
However redistribution of the plugin does not grant access to commercial services including:
- Software updates
- Support services
- License key activation
- Download access
- Documentation updates
Only customers with an active license may access these services.
License Term and Renewal
Plugin licenses are sold on a subscription basis unless otherwise specified.
An active license grants access to updates and support for the duration of the license term.
Upon license expiration:
- The plugin may continue functioning
- Automatic updates may be disabled
- Technical support may no longer be available
- License validation services may be suspended
Customers may renew their license to restore access to services.
Software Updates
Customers with an active license receive access to plugin updates.
Updates may include:
- Security fixes
- Bug fixes
- Compatibility improvements
- Feature enhancements
- Performance improvements
WP Code Ally does not guarantee updates for outdated versions of WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, or unsupported hosting environments.
Technical Support
Technical support is available to customers with an active license.
Support services may include assistance with:
- Plugin installation
- Plugin configuration
- Troubleshooting plugin functionality
- Bug identification
Support does not include:
- Custom development
- Website troubleshooting unrelated to the plugin
- Server configuration
- Third party plugin conflicts
- Theme customization
Support requests must relate directly to the plugin functionality.
Excessive or abusive use of support services may result in suspension of support access.
Modified Software
Customers may modify plugin code under the terms of the GPL license.
However WP Code Ally cannot guarantee compatibility or stability of modified versions.
Technical support does not cover modified versions of plugin software.
Backup Responsibility
Customers are responsible for maintaining backups of their websites before installing or updating plugin software.
WP Code Ally shall not be responsible for data loss, website downtime, or configuration errors resulting from plugin installation, updates, or conflicts with other software.
Security and Responsible Disclosure
WP Code Ally encourages responsible disclosure of potential security vulnerabilities.
Customers and security researchers who discover vulnerabilities are encouraged to report them privately to WP Code Ally so they may be addressed before public disclosure.
Acceptable Use
Customers may not use WP Code Ally plugins to:
- Violate applicable laws
- Distribute malware or malicious code
- Attempt to exploit security vulnerabilities
- Compromise website or server security
- Engage in fraudulent or harmful activity
WP Code Ally reserves the right to suspend services associated with a license if the plugin is used in violation of these terms.
Third Party Software
Plugins may interact with third party software including:
- WordPress
- WooCommerce
- Payment gateways
- Hosting platforms
- External APIs
WP Code Ally does not control these third party systems and cannot guarantee continued compatibility with all external software.
Changes made by third party providers may affect plugin functionality.
Intellectual Property
All branding, trademarks, logos, documentation, design assets, and non GPL materials distributed by WP Code Ally remain the intellectual property of WP Code Ally.
The GPL license applies only to the plugin software code and not to branding assets or proprietary services.
Account Responsibility
Customers who create an account on the WP Code Ally website are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.
Any activity occurring under a customer account is the responsibility of the account holder.
Distribution Infrastructure
The WP Code Ally plugin distribution system including update servers, licensing servers, download infrastructure, and update APIs may not be mirrored, replicated, reverse engineered, or abused.
Unauthorized access or misuse of these systems may result in termination of services.
Refund Policy
Refunds for plugin purchases are governed by the WP Code Ally Refund Policy available on the WP Code Ally website.
No Warranty
Plugins are provided on an as is and as available basis.
WP Code Ally makes no guarantees that plugin software will:
- Operate without interruption
- Be completely error free
- Work with all themes, plugins, or hosting environments
- Meet specific customer requirements
All warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement are disclaimed to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall WP Code Ally be liable for any damages resulting from the use or inability to use plugin software.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Loss of revenue
- Loss of business
- Loss of website data
- Website downtime
- Security incidents
Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the plugin license.
Termination
WP Code Ally may suspend or terminate services associated with a license if:
- The license agreement is violated
- Fraudulent activity is detected
- License keys are abused
- Payments are disputed or reversed
Termination affects access to services but does not revoke rights granted under the GPL license.
Changes to This Agreement
WP Code Ally reserves the right to update this Plugin License Agreement at any time.
Changes will take effect when published on the WP Code Ally website.
Continued use of plugin products or services constitutes acceptance of the updated agreement.
Entire Agreement
This agreement together with the WP Code Ally Terms of Service and Privacy Policy constitutes the entire agreement between the customer and WP Code Ally regarding plugin products and related services.
Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which WP Code Ally operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
